iMAGINE JUSTICE JUNETEENTH COMMEMORATIVE 2.5 MILE WALK
The Justice Journey Alliance, Leadership Foundation of Chicago (JJALFOC), invites you to the 2nd annual Imagine Justice Juneteenth Commemorative Walk on Friday, June 19, 2026. This 2.5-mile walk begins at 31st Street Beach, proceeds north to 18th Street, and returns via the Lakefront Trail. The distance honors the 2.5-year delay in freedom reaching the last enslaved people in Texas following the Emancipation Proclamation. A portion of each registration supports the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
