The Justice Journey Alliance, Leadership Foundation of Chicago (JJALFOC) is excited to host the iMagine Justice Juneteenth Commemorative 2.5 Mile Walk.
On Friday, June 19th, 2026 JJALFOC will lead its annual 2.5 mile walk beginning at 31st Street Beach to commemorate the 2.5 years it took for the news and enforcement of freedom to reach the last enslaved people in Texas.
MISSION
Our mission is to educate, empower, and unite all Americans in the celebration of our shared bond of freedom. We honor this through the recognition, observance, education, and historic preservation of Juneteenth in America.
PURPOSE
Proceeds benefit the community service programs of JJALFOC, the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC, as well as the production and distribution of literature to educate the country about Juneteenth.

Starting/End Point: 31st Street Beach, north to 18th St., and back to 31st Street Beach.
